Gather your friends and family for this hilarious card game! Draw problem cards and blame cards, then take turns coming up with the most outrageous theories about who's responsible for various situations.
(3 Player Minimum)
Setup: Each player draws 3 blame cards from the blame card deck. Choose one player to be the judge for the first round. The judge doesn't play cards but will vote on their favorite answer at the end.
Gameplay: The judge draws a problem card and reads it aloud. The other players (called "lawyers") take turns clockwise. On your turn, select one of your blame cards and explain why it's responsible for the problem. Then draw a new blame card to replace the one you played. The problem card stays the same for all players during the round.
Voting: After all lawyers have played a card, the judge votes for their favorite answer.
Scoring: The winning lawyer earns 1 point. Rotate the judge role clockwise, and start a new round. The first player to reach 5 points wins!
Reverse Blame Game: Switch the roles of the problem and blame cards! The judge draws a blame card and reads it aloud. Lawyers then take turns selecting problem cards and explaining why their problem is what caused that blame card to happen.
Blame Chain: All players take turns clockwise. The first player draws a problem card and a blame card, then explains why the blame card caused the problem. Each subsequent player draws a new blame card and explains why their blame card is responsible for the previous player's blame card happening. The chain continues until players agree to end the round, then vote on the most creative connection!
Custom Rules: Players can agree to change any rules they want to try something new! For example, you might allow players to use multiple blame cards at once, change the winning score, or create your own variations. The only rule is that everyone agrees before you start playing.
